Nathan Blair

Branch Manager & Senior Investment Adviser

Nathan is the Branch Manager and Senior Investment Adviser for the Gold Coast office. As a Senior Investment Adviser for 16 years with Ord Minnett, Nathan provides clients with strategic advice, portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment and trading ideas.

Nathan is involved in all aspects of his clients’ financial health – tailored advice, prudent investment management, risk management and consistently providing the very highest standards of service, all backed by Ord Minnett’s suite of capabilities including operations, research, asset management, corporate finance, and administration.

Nathan is a Responsible Executive of Ord Minnett Ltd, holds a Bachelor of International Finance from Griffith University and the highest level of Options & Derivatives Accreditation. Nathan is certified by the Securities Institute to provide superannuation advice, registered with the Australian Stock Exchange and a master of the Australian Shareholders' Association.

He has been a resident of the Gold Coast for 25 years, is married and a father of three children. Nathan’s hobbies include sailing, game fishing, reading and keeping fit.

Ben Leeden

Ben has been an Adviser at Ord Minnett for 17 years. As a Senior Adviser, Ben provides clients with tailored advice on their share portfolios, investments, trading ideas and asset allocation by drawing from his extensive experience in financial markets.

Ben is a specialist in wealth management. He monitors risk and regularly reviews clients' investment portfolios to ensure their long term objectives are achieved. His clients range from private investors, to superannuation funds, as well as sophisticated and professional investors. Ben’s clients live locally, across Australia and overseas.

Ben holds a Bachelor of International Finance from Griffith University. He holds both Level 1 & 2 Accreditation for options and warrants advice and is certified by the Securities Institute to provide superannuation advice. Ben has lived and worked on the Gold Coast for the last 20 years. He is married with a young son. He is a keen golfer and boatie.

Hayden Schneider

Hayden is a trusted investment adviser with over 14 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He provides investment advice to private investors, self-funded retirees, institutional investors, superannuation funds and high conviction traders. 

Hayden specialises in wealth management for individuals seeking to increase their portfolios in a strategic manner. He adds value to clients by providing recommendations in portfolio construction, as well as regularly communicating market knowledge and high conviction trading ideas to his clients based on fundamental and technical analysis. 

Hayden is an advocate of thematic investing and believes market inefficiencies in value can be found by careful stock selection in the smaller capitalised companies on the ASX. Hayden is an accredited to provide advice in equities, exchange traded funds, options (ADA 1 and 2), margin lending, bonds, term deposits and bank bills.

Hayden has been a resident on the southern end of the Gold Coast for 13 years, is married and a father of two children. Hayden enjoys the Gold Coast beach lifestyle particularly surfing, soccer and offshore fishing.

David Wallis

David has been providing investment and financial strategy advice for 17 years. He specialises in portfolio management and retirement planning, and his clients include self-managed super funds, retail super funds, small business owners and professional employees.

David constructs investment strategies tailored to an individual’s investment objectives and risk appetite, with a thorough ongoing risk management process. 

David’s advice can be tailored to investment strategies for high income investors and protection from short term volatility in investment markets. His previous experience includes roles at MLC Investments, ABN Amro Morgans and Macquarie.

David Wells

David has been providing specialist investment and financial planning advice with Ord Minnett since 2000.

Prior to this David practiced as a Chartered Accountant providing superannuation, tax and accounting advice for individuals, trusts, superannuation funds and corporate entities. David’s move from accounting to financial planning was driven by the desire to provide more “value added“ advice to clients of a wider variety and with more varied needs.

David has worked in the accounting and finance industries for over 25 years and specialises in the provision of investment and tax-effective strategies for optimal wealth creation. He has a special interest in superannuation. David provides investment advice across a broad range of products including direct shares, managed funds and fixed interest products.

David holds a degree in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant. David also holds the designation “Financial Planning Specialist”, which is only issued to Chartered Accountants who have achieved the highest qualifications and experience in financial planning.

Alex Hamilton

Investment Adviser

Alex has over 16 years’ experience in financial markets, including 9 years as a stockbroker.  Alex specialises in helping clients give priority to their superannuation so they are more engaged and informed about their retirement prospects from an earlier age. Alex has been an early adopter of exchange traded funds utilising the efficient and lost cost strategies to gain exposure to thematic investing both domestically and internationally.

Alex is interested in geopolitical trends influencing capital flows, breaking down technical jargon in a way clients can understand.  He is passionate about capitalism, free enterprise and the motivation of self interest in the economy.

Alex holds a dual degree in Commerce and Business Management, majoring in Accounting, Finance and Economics.  Alex is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Professional Diploma in Stockbroking.

Brian Manning

Investment Adviser and Financial Planner

Brian has gained broad exposure to many facets of financial markets and has provided tailored financial advice to clients since 2001.

Drawing on over 30 years’ experience in financial services, Brian works with his clients to grow their wealth through different asset classes and investment vehicles. Effective management of his clients’ superannuation portfolios is a core area of Brian’s expertise, with a focus on asset allocation and portfolio construction.

Brian’s commitment to a high level of client service ensures his clients benefit from his active analysis of market trends and the impact these have on their portfolios to assist his clients achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.

Prior to joining Ord Minnett, Brian worked at Macquarie Bank for 16 years as an Investment Adviser and Financial Planner, providing financial planning and stockbroking services to his clients. He also has extensive experience in product management, business development and administration management.

Brian holds a bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. He is also a Financial Planning Association Certified Financial Planner, the highest designation available for financial planners.

Jennifer McLeod

Associate Advisor

Jennifer joined Ord Minnett in 2013, after years’ of experience assisting clients to effectively manage their finances within private wealth firms. Jennifer prides herself on working closely with clients to understand their current financial situation and their aspirations for the future.

She provides her clients with full asset allocation advice, focused on domestic and international equity portfolios. Jennifer uses her knowledge of portfolio construction, asset allocation and ethical & sustainable investment overlays to tailor portfolios aligned with clients’ goals.

She feels passionately about making personal finance and superannuation accessible to everyone, to ensure they achieve financial security without complications.
