Guy Collison

Senior Private Wealth Adviser

Background

Joining Ord Minnett in 2019, Guy is a Senior Private Wealth Adviser with over 35 years of experience in providing financial advice.

He began his career as an accountant at Ernst and Young after completing his Bachelor of Economics at Adelaide University. In 1987, Guy transitioned into share broking with Taylor Collison. He initially worked on the ASX trading floor as a share operator before moving into the role of Financial Adviser. His leadership and expertise led to his appointment as a Director of Taylor Collison in 1994.

Throughout his career, Guy has specialised in advising private clients, investment companies, and charitable organisations. He also manages a substantial number of self-managed super funds (SMSFs) on behalf of his clients. As his journey has progressed in financial advising, his focus has been more on identifying good quality blue chip ideas for clients. This may be in specific sectors of the markets or in investment companies. Guy also covers the area of exchange traded funds (ETFs) and has a strong interest in smaller capitalised growth stocks.
