Ord Minnett creates new National Practice Manager position to drive strategic adviser growth and development
January 8, 2026
Ord Minnett has announced the appointment of Scott Weaver to the newly created position of National Practice Manager, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to professional development and client-focused outcomes.
Weaver joins Ord Minnett at a time when the business is focused on growth and will work closely with associate and private wealth advisers across the firm’s 15 offices. His focus will be on strengthening adviser capability and fostering a culture of learning and development – something he believes is essential in today’s dynamic financial landscape.
“I’m very pleased to join Ord Minnett and I’m looking forward to partnering with our associate and private wealth advisers across our 15 offices,” Weaver said.
“Ords made it clear they believe in creating a culture of learning and development as it’s key to providing an exceptional client experience in a forever-changing financial landscape. I’m excited not only as this is a newly created role but for the opportunity to help drive learning and growth across the business” he said.
Frank Hegerty, Head of Private Wealth at Ord Minnett, said the appointment reflects a strategic investment in the firm’s adviser network.
“This new role of National Practice Manager is another strategic investment in our business to strengthen the support we provide to advisers, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients,” he said.
“We know when advisers thrive, clients receive the best possible experience, and that remains at the heart of everything we do.”
Hegerty added that the new role builds on Ord Minnett’s broader professional development initiatives, including its three-year Associate Adviser Program, which provides hands-on training for the next generation of private wealth advisers.
“It’s an exciting time of growth at Ords, and we’re proud to be investing in our advisers at every stage of their career – because when we empower our advisers, we deliver lasting value for our clients.”
