4DMedical (4DX) - Philips partnership
October 4, 2024
4DMedical operates as a medical technology company in Australia and the US. It commercialises XV Technology, a four-dimensional lung imaging technology. The company also offers software as a service delivery model; XV lungs ventilation analysis software; Permetium, a preclinical imaging system which quantify regional changes in pulmonary function; and AccuVent 200, a small animal ventilator. The company was incorporated in 2012 and is based in Carlton, Australia.
4DX has announced the signing of a reseller agreement with Philips that means products under the 4DMedical and Imbio brands will now be distributed in the US via the global healthcare equipment giant’s product catalogue. The deal represents the culmination of a year-long process with Philips and underpins the next phase of 4DX’s commercialisation strategy.
We expect US volumes to build in the medium term, but this partnership with Philips also increases the likelihood of a more significant, broad-based screening program by the US federal government’s Veterans Administration (VA)department. Such a wide-screening program is underpinned by the 6 million patients whose health care the VA manages and the US$280 billion ($410 million)of funding provided by the 2022 PACT Act to extend and expand veterans’ eligibility for healthcare.
